Galactica Galactica is my development server. While working on Websites it's great to have a convenient place to try things out. Galactica is a low wattage embedded "eBox" with 256MB of RAM and a 80GB harddisk. It runs Apache with PHP and MySQL along with a few other programmes for this and that. I'm sure this will change in the future as I switch to running virtual servers. Incidentally, erinshore.com is hosted on a server called Snowdrift which is located in London. Visit Galactica

Server Name

BSG 75 The name comes from the science fiction series Battlestar Galactica. As a general rule of thumb computers are given names so they can be identified on the network. I like to try and keep to a theme.

Server Uses

Galactica hosts a few Websites and is where I place proof Websites while I'm developing projects for clients. Galactica hosts my portfolio archive and it's also a quick and easy place to shove files for friends to download.
